Orders, the ER and family...

I decided one day...I'm going to a blog.  Why? I have no idea. I thought maybe it would help make it more organized for my little sewing business, it would fun and I could just tell y'all a few things about my crazy life from time to time! But here's the thing about a blog...you actually have to "Blog" for all that to work!!! Where does time go? I often ask myself this, over and over and over. Good intentions? Oh yeah, always, time just seems to get me every "time"! So, this morning I am doing a "Blog", my very first and hopefully not my last!
When I embarked on this little adventure for myself life was normal but in The Thompson house "normal" only last for about, oh..... an hour, maybe.  Truthfully, this house is never normal! Not when you have the family size that I have.  One husband, 5 kids, 3 dogs, 3 (pending 2) cats, 2 fish and a partridge a pear tree! Life is never the norm! And I like it that way.  I have never liked the ordinary.  It has never been in me to be ok with the same ol' same ol'.  I think that's why when people say, "You have FIVE kids, OMG!?" I like it! It makes me feel like, Hell Yeah I do!! And I don't do it good all the time but I do it! Im not a great mama or wife (to my best friend since we were 15) but I love what I do! It works for me.  It constantly amazes me that God entrusted me with these five lives...sometimes I want to say, REALLY? REALLY? But I don't cause I trust him just as he trust me.  ;)
So, last week, NORMAL.... within hours normal life went to crazy life. Colby the youngest (Ty10, Hannah8, Zoey6, Cameron Camo Cam4 and my sweet spoiled rotten baby Colby 1) went from being "normal" to feeling like crap and running a 103.2 temp.  We went to the Dr, did the antibiotics, cough meds and all that for a sinus infection and ear infection and that was all good til one and half days later when he couldn't catch a full breath! We went straight to the ER and stayed there from 11am to 9pm! Yeah, normal..gone. After xrays, steriods and several breathing treatments they decided we could go home and not have to be admitted.  YAY! So, my Orders went on the back burner.  Which I hate but it happens.  And those that ordered I think will and did understand!
These Orders, if you don't know, are for the softest most comfy rag quilts ever, BTW! I'll post some pics when I figure out how in world to do that!  One day I decided I would make one for a sweet family friend that was having a baby, I then posted that on FB and asked if anybody was interested and within 24hrs I had 26 custom orders! #thankyouGod
Because my husband, Cory, and I are headed back to college and any kinda funds coming in all Awesome!  He is currently enrolled and me..I'm hoping, praying and waiting on an acceptance letter to MC School of Nursing! Cory is also planning a future in nursing and he is also patiently awaiting an acceptance letter from several places! (he's not picky!) Again, not normal! We decided marriage, kids and then college would work best for us!!!!! Not really!  We have both been to college (me MC graduated with a fine History degree, don't be jealous and Cory, well, he went to college to play baseball and he looked so dang in a baseball uniform:) it's just now we realized it's time for job security! Yeah, it only took 5 kids to realize that....  That story is for another Blog, it's too much for now!
So, for now, Im thinking this Blog is enough! I'll do more later. When there's a minute around here! (that might be actually be in 2013..who knows)
Love y'all!
